Today we’d like to introduce you to Chastity Duhaney.
Hi Chastity, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Although my given name is Chastity, all of my cooking and social media fam know me as Chazzy_licious_is_cookin. Over time, I adopted (S)Chef Chazzy for short. I added the (S) to represent the fact that I’m a female Chef. The idea came from a company that I have menu items that is called Shef. So I adopted the letter S to the word Chef.
I have been intrigued by different types of cuisine since forever. I was a little girl when I started cooking in the kitchen with my grandmother. I never thought I would be able to pursue this as a career but the pandemic, like so many others, forced me to pivot and change how I was making money.Covid forced me to do virtual kindergarten with my five yr old daughter.
Being home so much during Covid, I started listening to djs on a streaming platform called TWITCH. As I listened to several of these djs we began to come like family and followed each other on all social media platforms. . Several of the djs would see me post pics of my food. They began to ask me when am I gonna start my cooking show. At first I’m like I don’t know but the more and more I thought about it I was like why not. I’m home cooking anyway so turn on that camera girl.
I always knew cooking is one of my gifts that was meant for me to share. Never in a million years would I think I would have my own cooking show, my own meal prep and catering business and content creator on social media. This is just the beginning, sky is the limit. The level of drive and determination that oozes thru me is gonna allow me to have my own nationally syndicated cooking show and my food in every household in America.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has most definitely not been a smooth road. I don’t know one person that has achieved any level of success without bumps in the road. Bumps are a part of life. I could write several books on all the bumps I’ve had in my road. If I had to narrow down the major struggles which I’m still battling with are work, life, family balance and finances. It is very difficult running a business taking care of three kids and a fiancé and a live in dad it’s a lot. Complied with life responsibilities all while trying to stay positive and mentally sane is really a balancing act. Everyday I pray and seek guidance on every nuance of my life.

I consider myself to be a social media International Fusion chef, that owns a mealprep/private catering event company. I have so many irons in the fire right now. On a global scale, I have a cooking show on Twitch where people all over the world tune in to watch me turn up n cook in the Kitch’n. I also ship out my signature No- bake cheesecake dessert cups and cakes throughout the U.S. Locally, I’m currently working with local gyms and trainers to provide customized healthy mealprep meals for clients. I service most dietary needs from Vegetarian to Vegan to Pescatarian to Carnivores. Whatever your needs are I can deliver a meal that you will enjoy over and over again.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of waking up every day and fighting for a level of success that I always wanted but was to scared to go after.
There are a lot of chefs in the world that are trailblazers in the food industry. What sets me apart from everyone is the same thing that sets all of those trailblazers apart from everyone else. There was only 1 of them and there is only ONE me. Always replicated but never duplicated is my energy. My passion for food, music, and people shows in my food. I’m a vibe that doesn’t cook, I provide an experience. I will keep going until I can’t and that’s when there’s no more breath left in me.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
One of my most important characteristics to help my success is my personality. I have complete strangers from all over the world that genuinely just enjoy listening and watching me. It’s a great feeling to know you’re helping someone in a way you didn’t even know was possible.
