Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Wendy Armstrong.
Chef Wendy, owner of Thrive Catering, grew up in the verdant green mountains of Vermont and was fortunate to come to Savannah with an art scholarship to SCAD. However, she soon found her artistic passions leaning towards the culinary side. She became a chef on private yachts and traveled for 14 years learning much about different national cuisines. She took further classes at the CIA in New York, in Florence, Italy, and in Mexico. She also took an interlude as a chef at a resort ranch in Jackson Hole, WY, just for fun. Feeling strongly about nature and authentic nourishing food, Wendy brought back her learning to her home in Savannah, and started Thrive Catering, working with local farms, and using eco-friendly methods in all of its business practices. The positive response from the community has been very rewarding, and Thrive Catering is highly considered to be the premier catering company in Savannah for events large and small.
Please tell us about your art.
Thrive emphasizes a personal approach to both our cuisine and our service. Gluten-free menus, creative vegan and vegetarian offerings, and easily accommodating special diets are all part of what allows us to deliver an unforgettable experience. We take pride in customizing each menu to your taste and are well versed in diverse ethnic cuisines and food styles. Whether your event is indoors or outdoors, we are well versed in preparing delicious food and delivering stellar service using all kinds of venues and equipment.

We are listed as a preferred vendor on all of the event venues in Savannah, and also are happy to do parties at private homes.
