Meet Chelsea Cantrell-Counts of Cha Cha The Stylist!

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Cantrell-Counts.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story begins as a child who was encouraged to freely be myself, be creative, dream BIG and never settle for less than GREAT!

Raised in Brooklyn, New York to parents who worked in the Entertainment Industry, my amazing Mother instilled in my twin sister and I self-love, self-respect, self-discovery and last but not least INDIVIDUALITY.

My solid foundation, alignment with God, self-confidence and my enjoyment to be myself AT ALL TIMES, is my recipe to my continued success and has gotten me where I am today.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes! It has been a FUN & smooth road for me! Once I decided to walk in my purpose, the right people, places, and opportunities presented themselves to me. I made a decision to live in my truth as a Business Woman in the Beauty Industry, and with my obedience to God and myself I know I will always WIN. I am far more happier knowing that I am living life to my fullest potential for myself than to be wanting to please others. As I continue on my road, I listen to God when I need a sense of direction, I ask for help from people I trust to help guide me and I remember to pay attention to the signs. I am eternally grateful for past, present and future experiences that help my road continue on gracefully.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Cha Cha The Stylist! story. Tell us more about the business.
I am in the Business of Beauty! I am a Licensed Master Cosmetologist & Educator, Wardrobe Stylist & Branding & Product Development Manager. I happily create & help place amazing Beauty Products in the Marketplace for Multicultural Women & Men.

What I am most proud of as a businesswoman, is first, my ability to continuously learn and ask questions no matter what anyone “thinks” I should already know. We are all students in this University called “Life” & to act like you know everything is unnecessary stress. Secondly, I am honored to be able to be a valued voice of reason for placing innovative and useful Beauty Products in the market for women and men of color. I proudly and happily love what I do because I am able to make sure cultural representation happens correctly & and not offensively. I know I am making a difference and pouring back into an industry that excites me with beauty products that have transformed lives

What sets me apart from others is my Upbringing! (I love that “up” is in that word 🙂 ) My Mother raised my Twin Sister and I to think, be and live UP; I do not have lack or limitation in ANYTHING I DO! I don’t think broke, act broke, & definitely don’t say the word broke and I do not associate myself around broke minded people. It is always about GROWTH & Wealth; Wealth of knowledge, wealth of relationships, opportunities, experiences, & financial wealth is always nice as well. You are what you think and speak, and I choose to live up to the standards of greatness.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not believe in luck. I believe in Divine Alignment, which to me means one’s own connection to God & allowing God’s direction, to guide you every step of the way.
