Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheryl Lewis.
Cheryl, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I had created an online hair boutique for my children while they were in college (CAU). At the time, we were selling hair wholesale also. I realized a lot of young ladies could not sell the hair, or we’re getting scammed in our community. I created Hey Girl Hustle to create a community to help women understand business mainly online. Within six months, I had helped thousands of women. I still come online weekly to answer business questions for free and offer free trainings throughout the year or various topics.
During the downtown due to COVID, I took my community on a free training of starting a business online. I chose candles because I love candles yet knew nothing about them except to light them lol.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Business-wise it has been smooth. The challenge is when you are growing those around, you get intimidated and your growth can affect relationships.
Please tell us about Hey Girl Hustle and Heavenly Candle.
I teach people how to grow their brand, increase exposure and attract more customers with Social Media. I’m proud of all the young ladies I have helped and have been blessed to meet.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Believing in myself and taking others on the journey. I teach them not to wait until they are 50 years old like I did. Do it now.
