Today we’d like to introduce you to Chikaodili Umunna.
Chikaodili, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started making music when I was 17, I lived next door to “lil bo” from lil Jon and the Eastside Boys and watching him buy new cars and give his kids four wheelers inspired me… lol. My love for hip hop was always there though, I have been a fan of music my whole life and inspired by lots of artist from the 80’s, 90’s, and now. I kept at it and developed relationships with many people in the “industry” and continued to grow in my music. All the people that have been in my life up to this point have made me the artist I am today.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but an insightful one for sure. I’ve been broke, homeless, and hungry. I’m not anymore. I don’t feel the need to talk about that much because everyone has their own struggles, how you bounce back from them matters more.
