Today we’d like to introduce you to Choze.
Choze, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am 26 years old, born and raised in Memphis & I was chosen to be an artist. Since I was young, art has always attracted my interest, and I loved to draw. But I was never given the guidance or training to actually create anything until I got my first tattoo at age 15. Ed, the tattoo artist, offered to teach me and the flame was sparked! I hated school, but learning to tattoo gave me the discipline to learn whatever I wanted.
From there, I taught myself to paint. My work mostly concentrates on the everyday individual. We were all put on this earth for a reason, I would like for people to feel and understand the confidence of being Chozen. By whatever it is that they have been chosen to put their time and passion into.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I feel that if you have the strength to overcome struggle, it allows you to grow. Too many to recall, but I knew pursuing this career would bring a lot of it, so I welcomed it all.

I am a Painter and a tattoo artist. The Chozen is my brand. We provide different services, such as paintings, murals, curation, tattoos & hanging art. I am most proud of being able to be an asset to the art community!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was pretty much like I am now laid back, stand up, hilarious & moving as an individual.
