Hi Christina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, I have been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist/ APRN since 2012 and moved from Louisville KY in 2020 in the midst of Covid 2020. During COVID, I was very burnt out in the anesthesia field and I worried about bringing something home to my family. I was only doing outpatient surgery centers to decrease exposure.
I have always had a love for skincare and been interested in aesthetics and feel as a mom we do not take nearly enough time for ourselves so I decided to venture out and give it a shot. Here I am 4 years later and just purchased my own space and now have another injector, esthetician, and massage therapist and looking for a hormone specialist NP. I love helping women and especially moms feel good about themselves. We all deserve a little self-care!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Two of my big obstacles have been time management as working anesthesia during the day and then doing aesthetics after so working 2 jobs full time to try to build my aesthetic patients. Also trying to find a balance between my family life and work has been hard.
I wouldn’t be here without the support of my family especially my husband for always doing 70% with the family and picking up my slack and his support. Another obstacle is how expensive being an aesthetic business owner can be. So expensive to purchase products, and pay out of pocket for training, supplies, and malpractice insurance. Everything is very expensive.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We do injectables from Botox to dermal fillers for volume loss and also bio-stimulant fillers to aid in your body’s own production of collagen. We also have an RF microneedling device that helps tighten the face/neck/chest/stomach/arms/knees, it can also help with texture/tone as well. We have a laser hair removal device that is virtually painless, a laser that helps small broken capillaries of the face, an IPL machine, and an Erbium resurfacing laser.
We also provide microneedling with exosomes/PRP (platelet-rich plasma)/peptides that help scarring/pigment/rosascea. I also love doing regenerative treatments mixing bio-stimulant fillers and your body’s own growth factor such as PRP/PRF (platelet-rich fibrin). I also do hair restoration with the PRP as well. We have Himalayan salt stones/hot stones massages as well. We also have signature peels/facials and a Diamond glow for dermabrasion.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love all the culture/food and love how close we are to mountains/beaches and all the things.
