Meet Christopher Sams of Model Achievement Awards

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Sams.

Hi Christopher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
originally when I got into the modeling industry I started out as a photographer. I liked the creative part of being a photographer but my background and upbringing was in business so I then created a photography company and hired photographers to work for me throughout the country. While the photography business was ok I wanted more. 

I then expanded and added Model Management to my business. At first I started out managing 2 to 5 models. I expanded and hired other model managers who then brought on and managed other models. Dealing with that many personalities after a number of years grew difficult for me so I decided to sell the model management part of the business. 

I then moved on to my next venture which was a modeling magazine, which I still have today.

About 3 years ago I registered and started my latest venture which is the Model Achievement Awards. The Model Achievement Awards has grown in every way, every year.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road is never 100% smooth. There’s always obstacles to overcome, especially when you start something from the ground up. In the beginning the biggest struggles I would say where gaining traction, garnering awareness, and creating relationships with partners and sponsors. As a new company it takes some time and a lot of reassuring for others to see your vision and trust your company will grow.

What should we know? What do you do, what do you specialize in?
Our purpose is to recognize and celebrate all of the talented individuals that create great work and art as we know it in the modeling industry. We not only have come together to celebrate and honor the models, we also acknowledge the others that put their very important piece of the puzzle in to bring life to a still picture such as the photographers, hair stylist, make up artists, etc.

what are you known for?
Annually awards are given to the most decorated and deserving individual in his or her field for that particular year. We recognize the modeling industry’s top professionals!

What are you most proud brand wise? What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc?
There are awards companies but none are exactly like this! There are awards companies that incorperate modeling but not totally focus on. And then theres the beauty pageant circut. This is like none of those! Most of all I’d like everyone to know about the Model Achievement Awards brand is; our core values.

Are there any apps?
Yes but its not yet created. We’ll actually be coming out with the Model Achievement Awards app this year!
