Today we’d like to introduce you to Cicely Mitchell.
Cicely Mitchell is a force to be reckoned with, as a single mother of three who overcame a tragic accident, to dominating what was once known as a male industry, she has become a woman breaking glass ceilings to many. After awakening from a horrific accident that left her comatose, Cicely Mitchell established The Mitchell Group, a real estate investment management & consulting firm. “Go fund me accounts for funerals scare me” and the thought of her family having to possibly create one for her shook her to the core. At this moment, in 2013, The Mitchell Group was birthed to extend her wealth of knowledge on luxury real estate investment and wealth portfolio management to others. She understood her calling of paying it forward and cultivating others with not only financial literacy but how-to invest for the family legacy.

A real estate financial wealth portfolio coach to actually designing and building homes, Cicely Mitchell has made her mark as not only the woman who cultivates family legacy for others but also as the woman who knocks down walls, literally and builds luxury homes for her clients.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Cicely graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a minor in Education, but like most, she chose a different direction. Cicely’s accident sought her to want to live a more purposeful direction. Being in a coma for almost three months was a huge awaking for Cicely.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I remember that my father would always make me help him around the house fixing and building things. He taught me how to paint, put up sheetrock, lay tile, fix plumbing and electrical all by the age of 13. My parents owned rental property when I was younger and on some weekends, we would go and assist my parents to fix things or get ready for a new tenant. They laid the foundation for what I do now. My father was tough on me as a kid, I was always taught to go the extra mile or do what was right whether anyone was looking or not. When I was 16, my parents bought me a car, I couldn’t drive it until I showed my father that I could change my tires and my oil by myself. When other kids were playing outside on Saturday morning, I couldn’t go play until I cut the grass, trimmed hedges, pruned trees, and edged the lawn. I couldn’t understand what he was trying to do then, but boy do I appreciate it now.
