Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra Deville.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started off making drinks at all of the events with my friends, which is what influenced me to go to school to get my mixology license. I never wanted to work for anyone, so while in college, I always found legal ways to make money. I was in college for three years for psychology and criminal justice when I ran into a group of women telling me I could get my license in counseling which they called being a life coach. So I ended up doing that as well while still attending school full time. I then ventured off, still doing both bartending and counseling into the big bucks, becoming a truck owner (18 wheeler). I found out that I am a leader and a young black entrepreneur. There’s nothing I can’t do, and there’s nothing anyone can tell me I can’t do. I’m still learning new things about myself and things I can do. I love that don’t while learning and obtaining more knowledge. I am helping others grow as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anything you do, you’ll have struggled if someone says otherwise. I would say show me, but everyone has their own story. When having your own business, you have good weeks and some bad, which is why it’s always good to save.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love everything I do, even on my worst days. I sell drinks, I counsel, and I own my truck I put own because I don’t drive it. I call the shots, shall you say. I am known for mainly being me my personality, drive, and leadership. I am proud that at such young age, I’ve overcome everything and did things that most never imagined me do. I want people to know everything I do and every service I offer I offer with love. When making drinks, I use my hands with love. When I counsel, I listen to understand, help, and prove I care. My truck is the newest baby I have, which I am still learning. So I’ll call him my newborn son lol.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters the most to me is making my family proud in everything I do.
