Meet Claudia Rivera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Rivera.

Hi Claudia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am from Colombia based in Atlanta (Georgia) since 2000, observing the needs of women in getting quality and different swimwear, I set out to design my own brand of Mulata Swimwear colorful and 100% Colombia styles since I arrived in Atlanta every year I have served my clients with authentic and quality swimsuits, in 2021 I started with my new collection of artisanal handmade Colombia shoes, made in Colombia by Colombia artisans putting their heart in this project, where they have been accepted to different kinds of women for their comfortable informal style. Finally, I have a boutique in painted tree boutique (Market Place) with great acceptance.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest obstacles were the language, but over the years God has given me the wisdom to strive to learn and every day, I try harder also the products are brought from another country where perhaps people do not know the difference but that has been one of my challenges to sell and teach about my product to anyone.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My experience is in sales and marketing for about 15 years. I created my own company Mulata selling artesanal handmade products made in Colombia, S.A. I sell swing suits, shoes, t-shirts. My products are selling in Painted tree boutiques in Roswell, GA.

What’s next?
My plans are to continue growing with my Colombia products, where people recognize that our products compete anywhere in the world for their manufacture and quality, where perhaps I can open more boutiques at a national level. In recent years I have learned that we must move forward and that God gave me the necessary strength to continue growing. I have never stopped and now that I am seeing my achievements, I will continue until they recognize my products at the national level and why not at the level world championship.
