Meet ClockWorkFK

Today we’d like to introduce you to ClockWorkFK.

ClockWorkFK, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, let me just start off by saying I was born and raised for most of my life in rural South Georgia. So if you know whats there then you know its nothing but dirt roads and cornfields. All I know is that that country lifestyle did not fit me. So I moved to Atlanta more so for the opportunity, and that goes even deeper than music because I just want to be successful at any and everything I do and that’s a fact. However, I honestly acquired the taste for music in highschool. I used to have a white dodge avenger with a nice sound system that I used to constantly upload new music too. Over time my friends started calling me the designated aux man because I always had the tunes on the go.

That was just the surface though. On certain days of the week, I would go over to my homies house and watch them record on pro tools first. It fascinated me to see them doing so much with just this little computer program. So I never took it as serious because of where we were located and what they had but I should have. As soon as I got to college in Fall 2015, I realized that music is literally everywhere. I started to regret my past decisions and started to motivate myself to go harder. This was probably the best time for music because future and lil uzi had just dropped some major projects that had the streets going crazy. I watched the movement and really wanted to be apart of that.

So that was when I officially started working and picked up spinning for extra gigs…I had already been working at Soul Asylum Studios at the time were I was an in house producer and engineer, but I ran into some hardships with living and had to leave…So I started mixing more and more. This helped me really opened the door for me to experience a lot more creativity in my life because I personally got to dedicate myself to helping move good music. So despite everything I been through. I feel like I am right where I need to be.

Has it been a smooth road?
I wish I could say it has been a smooth road, but not the least…I feel like everything is a constant struggle when becoming a dedicated artist. Money and time being the most important because its never enough of either especially for me. I just know that life is hard and if you want it, you will go get it regardless of the obstacles. My grandfather always told me never make excuses.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an Artist, Engineer, & Producer from Atlanta who is dedicated in making good music, but I am mainly known for my DJing gigs around town. I look for quality artist and genuine people to build relationships with because everything I do is done with quality, especially my music.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I can honestly see my platform being pretty big in the next five years. Not to seem like I have the bighead or anything, but it’s just a feeling. Have you ever had that feeling that you know something is gonna happen? Well, I constantly have that feeling Its just a matter of when and how you know! I would be crazy to sit here and say that I know all of this is gonna fail, but I am not worried one bit.
