Meet Coby Mack

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coby Mack.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have been heavily invested in Acting and film pretty much my whole life. It sparked for me when I was about three years old when I would watch a lot of TVs. I remember seeing movies with Will Smith (my all time favorite actor) and just felt like that’s what I was meant to do. It’s stuck with me ever since. I’ve done theater all throughout elementary up until I graduated last year from high-school. I recently in the past year, have also taken upon photography which is now something I know I’ve missed so many years out on taking seriously.

Please tell us about your art.
I kind of want to do it all (hope that doesn’t sound too crazy). Acting was the number one goal for me for a while, but now I see myself doing so much more. From Acting to film making, to photography, I never want to limit myself. Creating art is honestly the way I get through life. I’m very proud of what I do and actually love to do it.

Throughout life, we have to do a lot of things that we don’t want to do. When you find something that really interests you, that doesn’t feel like a burden to do, and that brings you actual joy, it’s the most special feeling in the world. My work is a representation of who I am. Through my photography, I want people to get a glimpse of how to see the world through my photos. I recently have also just started YouTube and I honestly just want to make people laugh and forget about whatever they might have going on in their lives for a little bit.

Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
I wish somebody told me about this when I started. Use what you have. When it comes to photography especially, you do not have to have the most expensive camera out there to make good content. Make your work standout without all of the expensive stuff. Once you get creative and start using your mind, trust me you’ll be all set. Art is about progression and growth. Know that your work is special to you and as long as you keep working on it, you’re only going to get better.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
You can find my work for photography on Macklenss.com. I upload Blog posts regularly on there with all of my work. As far as YouTube goes, you can find me here https://www.youtube.com/user/coby890 (I post new videos every week 😉 ).
