Meet Connie Ware of Before the Makeup in Suwanee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Connie Ware.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Connie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I believe being beautiful means accepting yourself. So, when referring to the phrase “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” individually, we must understand the importance of being the beholder. Undoubtedly, our skin is one of the first things others notice, and quite possibly one of the first things we see in the morning, therefore, it certainly plays a pivotal role when it comes to accepting ourselves. It is, however, difficult for many to feel self-confident without healthy skin. I love being in a position to help my clients make the right choices when it comes to accepting themselves. Which includes implementing skin regimens focused on solving skin issues and maintaining healthy, beautiful, radiant skin.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, the road has not been smooth but it has been fun. I see the vision, this is my baby. And I see the potential. For me, the struggle has been monetary and that can be frustrating. But I have had so much positive help along the way, that I owe it to myself and others to keep pushing forward. I often wake up and threaten myself by saying, “I am going to return to Corporate America” where everything was easy. But I’ve come too far to stop now and I often find inspiration from my favorite quote, not sure who the author is but it says, ” Instead of worrying about what if I fail, imagine soaring. ask yourself what if I soar? That is so powerful for me. I have so many goals and seeing them come to fruition is the end game.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Before the Makeup – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I believe that there’s beauty before the makeup, hence the name of the business. I am known for my relaxing facials. However, I specialize in microneedling and dermaplaning. As a company, I am most proud of my education in these two disciplines. I believe it’s important to know why you’re doing what you doing and this results in a better outcome for the client. So, I believe it is my continued education and attention to the science behind the beauty, that sets Before the Makeup apart.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Easy question to answer, I dislike Atlanta’s traffic. What I like most about Atlanta is the platform it offers entrepreneurs like myself. I also, enjoy the weather, people and the food. Although, I am original from Cleveland, Ohio I came to Georgia by way of Florida where the trees where evergreen, so I am enamored by the city in the forest (Atlanta)trees and watching them change colors with the seasons.
