Meet Corey and Jill Wright

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Wright, Jill Wright.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Corey and Jill. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started working as a licensed real estate agent in New York City. I was looking for careers that would support my love and passion for theatre, film and television and pay the bills through auditioning and the next job came along. Most actors find themselves behind a bar or waiting on tables as their “survival job,” and while I proudly worked in the food and beverage industry for many years as a survival job, I knew it was time for a change.

I worked in almost every area of real estate in New York City. I rented hundreds of apartments, worked with investors, dabbled in commercial real estate and helped my clients through the grueling and infamous process of purchasing and/or selling in New York City. When my wife and I, who was also working in the real estate industry in NYC, made the decision to leave New York, the choice to move to Atlanta was fairly simple. We had both spent nearly five years here while I was working as an actor, during that time we invested in real estate, and kept a very close eye on the market and kept our thumb on the pulse when we went back to NYC.

When we transferred our business to Atlanta, we immediately aligned our team with one of the largest firms in the world, the best mortgage brokers, lenders and real estate attorneys in the industry. Not only do we benefit from the experience of working in 2 major US cities, but our clients are the ones who truly see the return, be it our expertise in negotiation, research and statistics, or knowing they have a full service family owned and operated team that represents buyers and sellers.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’m not sure real estate is a smooth road. The goal is to make it consistent. The way we try to do that is to treat every client we come in contact with like they are our only client.

I think our years in the hospitality industry gave us the perspective needed to ensure every client is heard and understood. We strive to not only be their agent for one transaction, but we aim to be their agent for all transactions and anyone they know who may need a real estate agent.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are always looking to grow our business, but It is extremely important for us to scale our business in a way that does not affect the ability to do our job at 100% or affect the experience of our clients.
