Today we’d like to introduce you to Corina Bryant.
Corina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Mexico and went to school to become a lab chemist, sadly my mother, siblings and I had to flee from Mexico due to my father’s violence. We arrived in California when I was seventeen years old. It was always a dream of mine to be a part of the beauty industry. I’ve always had a passion and desire for beauty. I’ve always made it a goal of mine to always be an independent woman. Depending on people was not an option for me. I always look for a way to be very self-sufficient. I always knew I wanted to become my own boss and I was going to obtain it no matter what obstacles came my way. I especially wanted to become my own boss so that I could make time for my family. My children became my drive to achieve my goals and be successful. I went to school for my Master Cosmetology license as well as a Laser Technician. I’ve always wanted my children to be proud of the mother they have.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Life is full of challenges and in this endeavor, life was not any different, across many obstacles that ranged from my mental to my physical health. Despite the mental and physical abuse, I’ve ensured I want to give a message for all women who are or were in a similar situation. No matter how difficult or intimidating it may seem whether you’re afraid to leave due to stability or your abuser please have the courage to get yourself out of that situation it is possible through dedication and hard work. You can leave that situation become independent, succeed in life and live your dream. People have looked down on me for things as simple as my accent upon other things and told me I would amount to nothing yet here I am proving them wrong. Starting over was certainly not easy but it was possible at the end of the day. I’ve struggled financially but I constantly looked for a way and never gave up on my dreams.

This business is a representation of what I am, and my passion for self-care. I have a huge passion for the beauty industry. I love helping others feel good about themselves. Helping boost women’s confidence and seeing their self-esteem go up right before my eyes gives me such a sense of satisfaction and the feeling is so rewarding. I enjoy giving people excellent customer service. At Brio Med Spa, we offer many services such as laser hair removal, microneedling, microdermabrasion, facials, teeth whitening, botox, fillers, POD threads, and many other cosmetic services.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Success is a strong word. Not everyone gets to the level of success, you need the drive, discipline, and dedication for you to excel towards success. It’s not easy to reach success but it’s very much worth the feeling of satisfaction once you get there. The sacrifice and hard work it takes is all worth it in the end.
