Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Johnson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always baked since I was able to cook but I never intended on making it a career. I randomly decided to make cupcakes for work one Friday and sell them. They sold out within an hour of me clocking in and they were coming back for more. I did that twice a week for about three weeks and got the same results. That’s when I decided to start “Caked Up Delicates”. Instantly I started receiving good feedback my customers were coming back weekly it was crazyyyy! I didn’t expect it at all but I am totally overjoyed and appreciative of it.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It started off pretty smooth but I do have some slow peaks. Which is common. But I use the downtime to perfect my craft by researching studying and practicing. My family loves the samples!
Caked Up Delicates – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Caked Up Delicates specializes in cupcakes. We also specify in cakes, cookies, and brownies. We are known for bright colors and cute toppings. I am most proud of my clients. I look forward to the smiles on there faces when they see and taste there treats.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
It would have to be how Caked Up Delicates started so rapidly. It was an unexpected blessing.
