Meet Courtney Myers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Myers.

Hi Courtney, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hola! I’m Courtney the creator of Figure Freeze. I started my business journey after nursing my sons for one year each and having cosmetic surgery. During my healing process, I found that there weren’t many products on the market that helped relief swelling that stayed attached to my body. So, I began sketching bra cold pack ideas. Once I found a vendor, Figure Freeze was no longer an idea, it was my creation. This led to me creating waist-cold packs and vaginal cold packs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth at all. I ran into challenges finding a vendor who could actually make my envision. I also ran into challenges working with Fortune 500 companies who made promises that they could not deliver on. But thus far, my biggest challenge continues to be marketing and knowing what steps to take next. I am no pro and this is my first business so I am trying to learn my way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Like many small business owners I work a full-time job as well as a part-time job. I am always busy but in my free time, I do any and everything. I am extremely creative and love taking on projects. I build, paint, braid, decorate, and so much more. I help everyone in my life with everything. I’m a proud boy mom and I stay very active with my sons. What sets me apart from others is that I’m Me. Just like Lil Wayne said. It’s hard to juggle everything that I do and still keep a smile on your face. I work a lot, I’m a full-time mom, I own a business, and I have MS.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
There are certainly apps and podcasts that help me. I work a lot and take on extra projects, so I often use apps like Phase Card and Talking Tom just to relax my brain but over the last few months, I have become a huge COD fan and I try to play as much as I can. I enjoy podcasts on tiny homes and building communities, I find them motivating. But I find the Hard or Soft Show extremely entertaining.
