Today we’d like to introduce you to Creature The Zombie.
Creature was born in Opelika, AL and raised in Oahu, Hawaii which influenced Creature’s overall lens on his take on film altogether. Creature grew up watching tons of Hype William’s music videos, from Busta Rhymes – Gimme Some More which is Creatures favorite video of all time and where he draws a lot creative inspiration from. Creature always had the aptitude for building computers from scratch at a young age, he didn’t start out with a camera, but having the early understanding of computers led him down the road of being technically inclined. So, cameras became a full-time interest in 2010-2011. Creature got into filming around 2010 due to him becoming a YouTube partner and having to drop content often, Creature was formally a professional dancer for 12 plus years prior to film, he’s been on dance channels like World of Dance, even tv shows from the GA area called the Music Factory. Creature’s film and editing style is heavily influenced by the technicalities he learned from dance, from being able to tailor effects rhythmically throughout a video. Creature’s editing style and film style set him apart from a lot of VFX artist and directors in the southern states. Creature got his first break with Disney XD for a 30 second Ducktales commercial in 2017 from a random Facebook post, someone who worked at YouTube Space LA added Creature and asked about his work and from that moment he would go on to completely clear his first major promotional AD. In 2018 Creature landed his first WSHH music video LilCj Kasino Feat. Hoodrich Pablo Juan “Hoodrich Kasino”, Creature was one of the few to add the new style of effects to run and gun music videos especially the more urban side around that time, the video went on to inspire a lot of other creatives to use certain effects creature innovated at that time for those style videos. Later 2018-early 2019 Creature went on the work for the company No Jumper owned by Adam22, Creature went on to do 14 Exposed interview videos for No Jumper, from artist like Tay Money, Problem, Jadayoungan and more. In 4 years, creature has worked with some of the most influential directors of all time from Matt Alanazo, Azae, Diesel, Azzie Scott and more all based on Creatures distinctive style that everyone notices. In 2020 creature has worked for artist like Lil Keed, Lil Gotit, Wiz and more he’s gone off to become a full-time editor for WSHH.
Has it been a smooth road?
Creature went close to 2-3 years without receiving credit for his work, dealing with a lot of big-time directors’ creature went through not really being known for editing and doing vfx on major videos. It really caused creature to miss out on new clients and funds. The hardest part about mistakenly falling your way directly into the industry is learning the ropes of how the business works, everyone isn’t your friend and everything is strictly business. After going a few years without getting credit, Creature started running into directors like Matt Alanzo, who gave him his first legitimate credit in the YBN Nahmir All in Video and the YBN Baby 8 Video. Not receiving credit for music videos can be detrimental to a person’s career, thankfully Creature ran into great directors like Azzie Scott, Matt and Diesel and even No Jumper.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I do. I am from Alabama, so growing up without the access to major platforms and businesses in our surrounding areas made it a lot harder to start. I attended the Art Institute of Atlanta 2011 and I learned a lot of business and business models and the technicalities from other business owners. Reach One teach one.
