Meet Saragrace Magre of Crowned Series on SaraG TV

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saragrace Magre.

Saragrace, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hi kings and queens! My name is Saragrace and I am the content creator for Crowned on SaraG TV. During my undergraduate years, I always wanted to get to know a person’s story. Tell me what you been through, what makes you the way that you are, tell me something deeper than what society sees of you. When I launched my YouTube channel, SaraG TV, I was thinking of ways to bring personal stories to my channel. I asked one of my friends if I could interview them by asking various personal questions on camera. I was amazed on how much I learned about him and how much his story would make a difference to the people we surrounded ourselves with on campus. However, that interview never made it to my channel because of technical difficulties with the camera. A year later, the same idea and interview style popped back into my head and I do not think that was a mistake. It was truly God bringing the idea back into my head and this time, I wanted to be sure to execute it.

I’ve always been a big fan of music and following the journey of many rising artists and I decided to combine both of my interests. I was able to save enough money to put on a full production. I contacted various rising artists, DJs, and producers in the Boston area and got started. Finally, I’m grateful for my friends and family who were willing to help me out throughout this process as well. That is how Crowned was created.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest challenge along the way has been believing in myself and cancelling out all forms of self-doubt. When you have a have vision in your head and picture of how the whole process will go from booking artists for the interviews, booking the space, finding the right people to help you with this idea, you never think about the parts in the process that would go wrong. You have to mentally prepare for those moments.

In addition, creating a platform from scratch is challenging. You have to find a way to make people believe in you and your vision.

Throughout all the challenges thus far and for those that have yet to come, I don’t regret creating Crowned. I have used every moment as a learning experience. I encourage everyone to execute the idea that they have in their head. Just do it and don’t look back.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Crowned on SaraG TV is a platform for rising artists, DJs, and producers to show their supporters and a new audience a vulnerable aspect to who they are and inform the viewers on their current projects. This is a game styled interview and encourages all the guests to honor their experiences and what they been through. Honor your real. This gives a platform to guests that may not be featured on platforms like these until they are much bigger artists, DJs, and producers.

I am proud that I am able to create a platform for these rising stars to showcase who they are, aside from their talent. I am honored to be able to share spaces with these individuals and encourage them to keep on going, keep working until you reach your definition of success. In addition, since Crowned has started, I have noticed that some of the guests have gotten additional business opportunities and more supporters. I am just happy that the platform I created is beneficial.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is being able to do something that you love day in and day out. Having that type of freedom is not as common as we think. I want to be able to wake up everyday and be happy to work on projects that inspire me and that will make a difference.

Success to me is being able to inspire others to do better for themselves, for their families, and for their communities. Growing up, I realized that many people got too comfortable with their situation, whether it was good or bad. I want people to always strive for more. Success to me is being able to walk in your purpose that God has destined for you.

Finally, success to me is also being able to provide for my family. Growing up the way I did, just being able to provide with extra time, love, and financially is a luxury that I did not necessarily experience.
