Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Martin.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Crystal. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up singing in the Kids choir that lead into me singing in the Youth choir at a church I grew up in. It’s a trip because I always knew how to play drums. If that makes since. Like I was one of the kids that made drums out of pillows, pots and pans.
Also understood the basic pocket of Kick Snare Hi Hat. But I didn’t start playing actual drums until I was 13 years old. The Drummer didn’t show up at Sunday night service… That was my chance to play the drums I played and never looked back. I Kept going and a few years later found myself going on tour with major Stage plays also touring with major Gospel, Rock, and Hip-hop artist. I also became the first female drummer of the legendary SOS Band. Later on, I formed a band with my best friend at the time called Thunder Snatch. Female drum and bass rhythm section duo Based out of Atlanta, that later turned into a power trio with the add of a guitarist. After that went into the studio and started learning my equipment and created a solo project using my nickname from the SOS BAND (Madam GoLong). I made it into a Rhythmic experience. So now we are were here with my new project/experience EP CRYSTAL M.E.T.H. stands for Music’s Evolution Threw Her-story. Another nickname from a famous drummer that is known by all drummers. I ask him, why would you call me CRYSTAL M.E.T.H. He replied because you are addictive and people are drawn to you when you play… My name is Crystal Martin and the names I have are musical experiences from me. Beats coming straight from my heart to yours. Respectfully 💜💜💜
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Crystal M.E.T.H. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business and company is to perform my gifts for you. I’m a producer, songwriter, composer, vocalist, musician. I specialize in drums that’s what I’m known for. At this moment I’m most proud of my new project. I believe what set me apart from others is that I’m just different. I also play instruments.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Seeing my Mother play drums randomly.
