Meet Crystal McCorvey of Elizabeth Re’nee Cosmetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal McCorvey.

Elizabeth Re’nee Cosmetics is a family company that is committed to class and rooted in love. Founded in 2014 by Crystal Re’nee McCorvey ERC was created to honor the life and the legacy of her mother, Sharon Elizabeth McCorvey. Makeup being one of the favorite things that they shared. It also became a way to keep the spirit of her mother alive while acting as a healthy coping mechanism. While coping with the loss, Crystal was able to learn the importance of self-care and self-love at a young age. Her mission for Elizabeth Re’nee Cosmetics is to uplift and encourage women to take the time to honor and appreciate themselves.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not, it was kind of bumpy starting off. Some of the struggles the I’ve faced was finding my lane within the beauty industry. Over the years, my different experiences have showed me how to create my own lane, especially for a family-owned and operated business.

Learning the beauty and manufacturing industry as I went. Finding reliable manufacturers and quality products being a small company and staying relevant in a constantly growing industry.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Elizabeth Re’nee Cosmetics specializes in luxury cosmetics and organic skincare. We’re most known for our 24-hour mattifying setting spray and our organic line of products. What sets ERC apart is the fact that we pride ourselves on exemplifying class, honesty and love amongst families in business together. We want to change the narrative when it comes to families working together, it’s possible.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was kind of shy and reserved. I’ve always been a leader and a boss in my own way. I’ve always been interested in all things beauty. I use to sit and watch my mom do her makeup and hair wanting to be next. I was an entrepreneur at a young age. I started selling hand made purses to my classmates.

Meet Buckhead Series Sponsor:

Ase Omavuaye Otite: I am a Nigerian-born author who is passionate about children and driven to protect their innocence. I have an extremely creative mind and identify myself as an artist. I love to express myself through art, especially photography, words, and music. I have discovered how great and freeing it is to be myself and it helps me unlock new ideas. I am an aunt and godmother to 27 nieces and nephews and play an active role in their lives. Engaging with the children in my life helps keep my inner child at the forefront when I am writing and creating art. My goal is to take readers’ imagination on a magical adventure, allowing children to connect to their creative side. I believe with my artistic ideas, I can accomplish that. My love and passion for children and technology in my personal life was the driving force that helped me write my children’s book, Happystarville. My book, Happystarville teaches great morals to young children; allowing them to see how the consequences of their actions don’t just affect them—but also everyone around them. Happystarville is available online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Walmart.
