Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Roach
Hi Crystal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I never had an idea too much on what I wanted to do after high school. I decided to try different colleges and even the military at one point. It just didn’t seem to fit me. One thing about me, I am a very hard worker and always work hard at anything and everything I touch. One normal day, a family member asked me to do their hair and somehow after moving back home, I started cosmetology school. I graduated from Paul Mitchell where I obtained over 1500 hours of hard work and time. This year will make 11 years since obtaining my cosmetology license. Go me!!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
LIFE is never a smooth road. I’ve lost people who I’ve thought were close friends, I’ve even been to what I feel was rock bottom but it’s always how you handle the situations that are thrown at you. I know life has its moments and it’s okay to sit down and regroup but, as long as you don’t stay there. Get back up and get to it!! Have faith. Do what you love and love what you do!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed cosmetologist who specializes in Silk Presses, and Natural Hair. However, I do offer a few other services as well. I am the one who is known for one-hour silk presses, maintaining the health of your hair first and having growing hands. I am most proud of how far I’ve came and the clientele I’ve built over the years. What sets me apart from others is my clients feel and can see that I value them, their hair and their time. I’m genuine, humble and I actually love what I do!
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
A child hood memory was when we were living care-free. Enjoying life, nature, friends and family without the stress of the world.
