Meet Multimedia Journalist, Dallas Jordann

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dallas Jordann.

Dallas, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Dose of Dallas came about when I decided to create a personal brand and a platform for millennials to receive articles on self-love and inspirational stories on leaders in the community. I’ve always been a natural storyteller and I studied Journalism in college. First, I changed my name on social media to Dose of Dallas then it became the name of my YouTube channel and in August of 2018, I created doseofdallas.com. It had been a vision in my head and desire of mine since around 2015 but God needed me to go through certain experiences in order to build the courage to create something of my own.

Has it been a smooth road?
In pursuit of creating a brand/platform on my own, I encountered many struggles but mostly struggled within myself. I had a lot of self-work to do before I could launch this dream of mine, (hence why I focus so much on self-love). There is no rule book on how to navigate through life, it’s all learned through experience and the effort we put in. I had to learn that no one was going to see what I saw and if I wanted something to happen, I was going to have to be that person to take full initiative and responsibility for what I wanted to achieve.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Dose of Dallas story. Tell us more about the business.
Doseofdallas.com serves as a platform for young women and men in the media field looking for inspiration and motivation. It houses everything I’m passionate about; creative writing, being on camera, and storytelling. My goal is to present stories that inspire and share revelations of people who are living their dreams, despite their setbacks.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Well right now, the industry for bloggers and writers is booming. I could only hope to see it continue to flourish and become a high earning income job for a lot of us.
