Today we’d like to introduce you to Dalvin Adams.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started photography while I was in undergrad at Grambling State University. It was something I started doing for fun, but later became a way for me to make money while still in school. I always had a passion for art and photography so once I learned how to use a camera, I never stopped.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m new to Atlanta. I’ve only been here for five months so it’s hard starting all over. I had built a great clientele in Louisiana and I’ve collaborated with major companies so coming here and starting from scratch has been a hard adjustment but I’m enjoying the journey.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
One of the things that a pride myself on is African American representation. I always want to show the beauty in our culture and highlight our achievements. I’m most known for my portraits whether it be family, graduation or maternity my goal is to always make the clients feel extremely special for that moment. I think what makes me different is I don’t focus on one style of photography. I really enjoy studio, outdoor, fashion, and portrait photography and I’m confident that I can do them all at the same level.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think what has been a vital part of my success is the fact that I genuinely love what I’m doing. I also am really passionate about making people feel confident when they book with me. My goal is to always give quality work at a great price.
