Today we’d like to introduce you to Dani B.

Dani, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
About five years ago, I decided I wanted to take a leap of faith and become a freelance makeup artist. No savings, no just in case this doesn’t work fund, anything. Just the desire to be my own boss and make women pretty in the process. As exciting as being your own boss sounds, it’s a long and hard journey. Bills don’t stop because you want to chase your dreams so you hustle, and hustle hard. Currently, I am a licensed nail tech, nail instructor, makeup artist, and makeup instructor. I absolutely love what I do! I can’t wait to expand my brand even more!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve been broke, hungry, sad, tired, about to quit, happy, paid, and broke again, lol, but seriously, entrepreneurship is not an easy road. It takes constant dedication and hard work to be successful.

What do you do? What do you specialize in??
I am a licensed Nail tech and makeup artist. I love Nails & Makeup! I truly believe in providing a service to my clients as if I were servicing myself. I take pride in my work, and I give my very best every single time! I am big on maintaining healthy nails & feet! I have only been in the nail game a little over a year, but you would never know looking at my work. I work so hard constantly to improve my craft, every day. What I am most proud of is teaching! I love teaching inspiring nail techs and makeup artist to be great, it’s enough room for all of us at the table. I currently co-own The Nail HotSpot along with two other dope nail techs.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is an ongoing process! It continues… always. Once you master a craft, add another and another. You are truly successful when you can make money while you sleep or on vacation! Goals!!
