Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Casas.
Daniela, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
These smalls started three years ago, the name malu was honored for my younger sister that she was born was diagnosed with “Williams syndrome” those kids have a heart problems and at soon as she reaches 16 years old she needed at heart surgery here at the United States and of course for me and my family was a lot of many to cover the medical expenses, so I start thinking about what will be an idea to start collecting money for this surgery? I started making donations campaigns, go fund me a program and selling empanadas from my mom. Her name is Erika and she cooks amazing at the beginning. She didn’t know how to make empanadas but because I was an urgent necessity, she learned through YouTube videos and of course, using her seasoning magic, this is how is starts malus empanadas.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the beginning was hard because nobody believed in the product and I didn’t know how to sell it and to use the social media techniques, but now I’ve been taking a lot of courses online and we start back on track with the business and so far it’s been doing great!
