Meet Danielle Coello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Coello.

Hi Danielle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So it all started in 2018 when I wanted to start wearing lashes. I taught myself how to do my own individuals from the beauty supply and thought that doing actual lash extensions since they are somewhat similar, would be something I’d possibly be into doing. I soon did my research and took a lash class. For the first year, it was all about learning, teaching myself the basics, and mastering a full set. I eventually gained clientele within my close friends and family and that was the jump to my business. Fast forward to now, 2022 and those same ladies are still with me. I not only love what I do, but I wholeheartedly love the relationships and trust that I have built with my clients. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without their loyal consistency.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We are now in our almost third year of the covid pandemic. It’s been very hard within itself having to take so many precautions to ensure me or my client’s safety. I found out I was expecting in June 2021 and had to be even more cautious of not only my health but who I was around and making sure I kept a distance. Unfortunately, that was hard when it came to doing lashes because it required me to be right above my client. Of course, I did not want to stop because I was still able to work, but I did have to minimize my clientele intake. I only took consistent clients and no new clients, so the business did end up slowing down for a while. As I got further along in my pregnancy, I became uncomfortable and had to take a quick pause on lashes for a while to prepare myself and my home for my newborn. Eventually, after I had my baby, I started back working and things began to pick back up for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a lash artist and I specialize in volume lash extensions. I mainly freestyle all my sets so no set is ever duplicated. With everyone’s eye shapes, lash curls, and preferences all being different, I’ve been able to be my most creative with my craft. For the most part, about 80% of my clientele are clients that have stuck with me for 3+ years now. Even when I had to go on maternity leave, when I would get sick, and whenever I needed a break, my clients ALWAYS stayed down and waited for me. For that, it really means the most to me and shows how people appreciate the quality of my work and customer service.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
