Meet D’Anthony Ward

Today we’d like to introduce you to D’Anthony Ward.

Hi D’Anthony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began an Instagram page in 2018 after the birth of my first child and called it, @Dad_vlog, It was created based on the sheer excitement and appreciation towards becoming a dad! I just wanted to share what my new life looked like with this family that I created. There was no crazy stunts or controversial parenting opinions, I just uploaded interactions with my family that I valued and celebrated the simplicity of those moments.

Those simple moments that we value has create an audience of over 100K people on the @Dad_vlog page. Our goal is to help people develop the skill to identify simple moments in their own life better/faster because that is where the true value of life is.

As my wife and I got more parenting experience (we now have 2 kids, Taj and Aaliyah) we found ourselves trying to desperately make sure our kids are equipped with the tools that they need to become the best version of themselves. We want these kids to be dope!! And we are willing to show them everything we know and instill values we believe. We realized that in order to do that, We needed to be more intentional with the kids and enhance our relationship with them.

We took The concept of enhancing relationships and being intentional and said this can apply to anyone who is dedicated to the advancement of people! This is what it takes to make people better, this is how you Create Dope Humans.

We shared this concept with others and they immediately bought into the message and applied it to their own situations. Caregivers, coaches, social workers, parents, teachers, etc… now hundreds of people share this message when they wear a Create Dope Humans shirt or share a video from our @createdopehumans page.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since we are currently selling clothing, we had to learn the most effective way to provide a pleasant experience for customers. Figuring out the supply chain was challenging and customer service is always a learning curve.

We spent a lot of time crafting the message and making sure it was clear to the audience that they can apply the concept of Create Dope humans to any aspect of life.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, The Dad Vlog platform works through brand deals to generate revenue. We work with like-minded brands that share the same values as us. Our specialty is create high-end production and storytelling that engages the audience without compromising authenticity.

I’m most proud of the values we live by:

Authenticity – We know who we are and don’t pretend to be anyone else

Self Awareness – We are conscious of character and our impact on our family.

Adaptability- We are not stuck in our ways, we have the capacity to change.

The one thing that sets us apart is our unwavering belief in our mission.

“We rebel against a society that favors passive relationships and convenience. We aspire to create dope humans by building generational dopeness with intention, love, and commitment.”

If the team is interested, by day I work for google in Midtown as a supply chain program manager.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I think continuing to emphasize the message will bring the right people our way.

Create Dope Humans is about being intentional with your time and actions in order to make the people you come in contact with better… sometimes it’s hard to continue to be intentional when you don’t see results fast enough. The journey has taught me that my focus should lean more toward the process of things vs the results. If I can be happy with the work I put in, then I can accept whatever results come of that.
