I’ve loved doing things within the beauty/clothing industry my whole life. I first started Royal Affaires, LLC in November 2018. It was just something in my head I didn’t take it too seriously because of my fear of failure. Then, in December 2018, I decided to just take a leap of faith and just put myself out there. I created my Instagram, started building my Instagram following & supporters first. After my first week of starting Instagram (WITH ABSOLUTELY ZERO PRODUCT), I gained 200 followers. That just came from me promoting myself. Nobody knew what I was going to be doing, all they knew was something was “Coming Soon”. When I first put my product out, I only ordered about 20 pairs of mink lashes, and I sold out in about a week. I knew people loved my lashes so I started ordering more and more and eventually, I added hair to my site as well. My hair is affordable compared to my competitors so people wanted to purchase from me. Also, customer service is amazing! I try to keep close relationships with my customers so they all have a direct phone number and email to contact me with. Now, to this day, I have consistent loyal customers. I have a strong support system . I’ve added clothing to my catalog, and soon I will be opening up a storefront/salon! Everything is falling together how I want & I’m extremely grateful for that!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Running/starting a business is not an easy process at all. There will be a lot of bumps in the road. Some days, you will make $1000 in a day, some times you will go a couple of weeks without making ANY sales at all. It all depends on your consistency & your attitude towards it. Keep a positive attitude about everything (even if it’s bad) and everything will fall back into place: you just have to stay focused. Don’t give up.

What I’m most proud of about my company is that I run my company completely by myself. I am the customer service, the shipping, sales, inventory & all other departments. Most people my age will think this is too much and would have given up by now. But my ambition will not let me stop. Even on the days when I don’t have a sale, I keep being consistent and I keep a positive attitude about it because tomorrow could be the day that I become a millionaire.
What sets Royal Affaires, LLC apart from other companies is the relationships I make with my customers. Most companies just focus on making a sale instead of making relationships. Relationships are what keep your customers loyal. I will talk to each and every potential customer that I have and we will figure out exactly the needs & wants before completing a sale to make sure that they’re satisfied and to avoid any returns. That’s what keeps your customers dedicated to you!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always a loner. I never really tried to fit in or be in the “in crowd”. I sort of just was cool with everybody. I was always interested in beauty & fashion & also anything in the Criminal Justice Field. In High School, I took a cosmetology class my senior year which sort of helped me jump start Royal Affaires but I kind of put it on hold to focus on getting a REAL Degree. In college, I majored in Criminal Justice. My ultimate goal is to work somewhere in my career field (Crime Scene Investigator, Parole Officer, Probation Officer, etc.) while running a full-time business (Royal Affaires, LLC). It seems like a lot, but to be a millionaire, you have to take risks, right?
