Meet Darius Dozier of Vybe wit Doz Visuals

Today we’d like to introduce you to Darius Dozier

Hi Darius, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey back in 2022, towards the end of the year. But prior to that I was taking photos of the family. After a while, getting crammed with work. I ended up gifting my Nikon to one my little sisters. In the mist of that trying to focus on my music, I wanted to my music to the next level with visuals. After booking with a couple of videographers and they didn’t show but took the booking deposit, I was forget them! I’ll figure it out myself. 2 years later, I’m traveling to different states for paying clients that love and see my full potential with a camera in my hand! Music videos, commercials, photography, interviews, and now working on short films!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wish I could say it’s been a smooth! I’ve struggled with a lot of things, that honestly feel small now! Right now, my family is working with one car. So for some shoots, I might have to a walk home for miles! Not saying it’s a terrible thing, very humbling if I say. To add to my “struggles” I would say it’s the learning process you go through and meeting the different clients needs/wants.

As you know, we’re big fans of Vybe wit Doz Visuals . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is cinematography based.
I specialize in directing photography and camerawork in movie-making, unless I hire help. I mainly work the camera.
My vibe is what a lot of clients rock with, besides my professionalism and patience’s.
My most proud brand or product so far, some the last few music videos and vehicle content have been looking crazy good!
If you’re curious about what my visuals/films look! You can go to YouTube and type in Vybe wit Doz and click videos. Dope music on there and more to come!

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
A wise person once told me that, “A closed mouth, never gets fed!” Everyone is different. I met other shooters that I feel like I’ve begged to work under or I’ll start working with them and they’ll stop hitting me up. Whoever you meet along the way, just soak up as much knowledge as possible and remember why you started the journey in the first place!
