Today we’d like to introduce you to David Walens.
David, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started the business in 1983 as a design and production company of trade show exhibits. In 1999, I acquired my vendor Brumark, a company that specialized in trade show flooring. We saw a vision of providing “total flooring solutions” to and industry that didn’t place much value in the floor. We methodically built a strong and exceptional company that made its customers the center of its universe. As we developed the company and brand, we acquired companies that expand our capabilities in the trade show and event marketplace with the same client base. We added ID3 Group in 2013, Chisel 3D, Atlantis Waterjet in 2105 and GCI Graphics in 2016 all through acquisition. Visit www.exploring.com to see all our companies.
Has it been a smooth road?
It was a vision that became a reality. It was a challenging road with many obstacles along the way. Blending cultures during acquisitions, training employees, management structure and change in process and procedures, financial management were all issues that needed to be resolved.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
