Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn (DawnDe1) Brown.
Hi Dawn (DawnDe1), please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, I would like to introduce myself and say hello to others. My name is DawnDe1. I am an African- American music artist/ producer/ label owner and Community activist. I own Wolfpack Nation Music Group LLC. I am from a few amazing places but am happy to call The Great city of Atlanta Georgia the Home for My label and my brand. For starters, Me and my ex-wife at the time back in 2013 started Wolfpack Nation Music Group LLC. At the college we was attending, Talladega College. Although me and my ex-wife’s personal relationship came to an end after a while. Our professional relationship continued on with building this Amazing brand we and many people have come to know as the Wolfpack. I’ve helped many upcoming artists harvest their craft and create their own sound and even as of now while working on my own personal career still continue to work and enhance artists such as “Yg parley” and “Apple Rain” alongside many others. The goal for Wolfpack nation Music Group LLC. Is to help people who cannot help themselves while standing on Loyalty and principles. We try to give back to the community every year through different fundraisers and assisting with helping inner city upcoming talent not only part of Atlanta but around the world. We consider ourselves a global beacon and strive to help continue the magic and mystery of the Arts throughout the universe.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life has not been no crystal stair but I’ve tried to make the most out of what life gives me. When I first started my label, being in college, lack of funding did present a tough challenge to start something new not just for me but for people that are trying to create great art. Some individuals believe that after me and my ex-wife separation, I would stop doing music but most people do not know that my father gave up his dream of being allegedly signed to Motown records to raise me as a kid and make me the man I am today. For his sacrifice, I am exceedingly grateful and only wish to continue the musical greatness of my family known to some but hopefully will be known to many.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Well, like I said, My name is DawnDe1. My real name means french Love so yes I’m a hopeless romantic lol, just kidding. As an artist and musical genius, I specialize in helping other artists create their own genuine sound while not losing touch with the souls of many. I’m a producer and I enjoy creating beats from time to time when I’m free. I enjoy songwriting because a story can give a message that most struggle to articulate. I’ve created music that’s been heard around the world. It really touches my heart to know that people in London and Nigeria and hear my songs and enjoy the experience. I’m willing to work with anyone that willing to work on their craft. As with any art… perfection is key.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve had so many mentors and teachers when it comes to life and the arts. I wish I could take the credit but I cant. From my music teacher, Dr. Lindy Mcleod that gave me a stage and platform to show the world in college. To my music teachers in high school, Mr bobby stringer and Mr. Clarence Janes that taught the likes of Reuben Studdard from “American Idol”. I’m only a student that has been trained and given the chance and opportunity to show what my art can do and I’m exceedingly grateful.
