Today we’d like to introduce you to Daysha Crenshaw.
Hi Daysha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always wanted to be in the fashion industry and I decided in December of 2020 that I was going to take that step and here I am two years later officially. My child helped me come up with the name, Jorge Peniche helped bring my logo to life and one of my friends helped me with my why.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So many obstacles and challenges I faced but I started off with no funding so everything is self-funded. I thought designs were going to be hard to figure out but then I taught myself how to use Adobe Office. Marketing is always a tough one because it’s ever-changing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Big Bleu is a family-oriented clothing brand that values the sustainment of minimalism in a society captivated by trends. I want to say that I’m “known” for my 2 for $10 socks at pop-ups, I mean who don’t love socks? I’m proud that I’m still going even though I’ve faced so many obstacles.
What were you like growing up?
Super goofy, I’d like to say that I still am some days. I’ve always been driven from playing basketball to learning how to sew and draw in the 3rd grade. Yes, you read that ride, I’d stay after school and learn how to sew, I made my niece her first pillow at 9.
