Meet DeAnna Malone of Xpressed Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to DeAnna Malone.

DeAnna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always had a fascination with technology. It first started with palm pilots and dial-up internet. I began to learn how any piece of technology works. After helping to manage a bar and grill in Norcross, I had also grown to love marketing just as much as I loved technology.

I wanted to find a way to be able to intertwine the two. I started this company two years ago without knowing if anyone would be receptive to it. I am now able to build or manage a website for a company as well as handle all of their marketing. It’s the perfect combination for what all business owners need. I aim to work alongside business owners to help show them what can benefit and help maximize their exposure.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been easy. I have taken a break to re-assess several times. When you are doing most of the work, it can become slightly overwhelming. It also made me not be prepared for projects that I willingly took on. Everyone needs a team; you can’t do it all alone.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Xpressed Marketing story. Tell us more about the business.
Xpressed Marketing specializes in web design and marketing. The marketing department utilizes slightly different techniques than what other marketing companies use. We offer managed marketing services that include: ad creation/management and promotion item distribution. If you are in need of promotional items for distribution, we’ll create those for you as well (flyers, business cards). All ads are running on Instagram, Facebook, and Google. What sets us apart is the willingness to work within your marketing budget and travel and distribute to businesses you intend to do business in.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t know if it’s luck or determination. I feel lucky at this point because I didn’t give up and that alone is starting to open a lot of doors for me.
