Meet Dee Dee Adelle of UNSEEN in Jonesboro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dee Dee Adelle.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dee Dee. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey of becoming a young wife to my amazing husband and becoming a stay-at-home mommy to my two wonderful kiddos all began about 3+ years ago. My adult life began fairly quickly, to say the least, lol. I got married at the age of 19 and currently, now have two babies by the age of 22 (I truly am following into my mother’s footsteps… oh gosh! lol JK). Going back a bit… before saying “I DO”, a word was prophesied to me that I would bare a son soon after becoming one with my husband and to name him Elijah, which means GOD is YAHWEH. Sure enough, everything happened just like the Lord said. I became a new mommy in less than one year of being married. Months later, I conjured enough strength to depart from my baby boy and get back to work to help make ends meet. I loved my job at the time don’t get me wrong, but the disattachment I was experiencing with my son was like no other. My husband one day heard from the Lord to step out on faith despite the odds up against us and move forward with fully engaging into his new business called UNSEEN Productions. As for me, we both thought it was best for me to become a full-time SAHM. Of course, I jumped on the idea so I could now be with my baby 24/7. Fast forward months later and BOOM, we find out we’re having a baby girl this time. She was a complete “surprise” blessing might I add. My husband named her E’viyaa, which means to arrange.

During that particular time in my life, God knows I definitely needed some much-needed arrangement. My husband and I fell on very hard times and basically lost everything so swiftly due to the faith and instructions my husband was given from God. There would be days where I was silently battling depression about where I were in life and feeling inadequate. Despite the thoughts/lies, the enemy kept throwing between my ears, it took one day for me to have what I call a “come to Jesus moment”. I realized I needed to have more gratitude for the position I was in. I had all the time in the world to be with my kids. That is practically every mother’s dream! I could take them on cool adventures any time I wanted. I could do arts and crafts with them throughout the day. I could even sit and watch however many movies they wanted to watch. However, that was not the assignment I was given by the Lord. My duty was and still is to freely pour into them all of the amazing virtues God exemplified and that I was taught as a child; help to cultivate both kid’s callings/ purposes here on earth; teach them how to be set apart from this world;nurture them in love all while still correcting them when they’re wrong and much more. I could not take my role as a SAHM lightly any more… I just couldn’t!

Shortly after realizing all of this, that is when I felt like now was the perfect time to show other SAHMs (specifically), young mommies, parents, wives, single mothers, etc on how to make the best out of being with your children most of the day all while still holding on to your joy and peace. You can sometimes feel like you’re losing your identity being around kids all day long, but that’s the whole reason behind my YouTube channel. I want to show others how to make the best out of life toughest situations, (i.e being a SAHM) all while not losing yourself in the process. As a believer, you get the stigma of having to have it all together, but that is far from what it really is. In 1 Timothy 4:12,16 it states, “You are young, but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them with your words, with the way you live, with your love, with your pure life… then, you will save yourself and those people who listen to you.” Because of this biblical scripture, this drove me to also showcase my life in vlog form to show others on how to have fun and not be so uptight just because you are a believer in Christ. No, I don’t go to clubs, but I think I know how to have fun doing other things that won’t make me feel bad personally afterwards. This is the whole reasoning behind my channel. To simply show my life on this journey as a believer, wifey & mommy.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely been many struggles along my journey, but I choose to let my experiences whether good or bad, be just that… experiences. For example, literally, the first time I attempted to upload my vlog on my YouTube channel I dealt with literally any and every problem you can think of on my computer. Why when I never have challenges on my Mac computer does it decide to mess up that day? Frustrated wasn’t even the word, but I was simply reminded just why I was being hit with many challenges and distractions that day. My mission is to show others that keeping your peace and faith in God will help you through life’s tough situations (again i.e. me being a SAHM full time). Of course, the devil and his little minions don’t want that type of empowerment to be put out in the atmosphere! That day also taught me a lot of computer troubleshooting knowledge that I probably wouldn’t have learned through my trial and error, which makes uploading way smoother for me now. Might I add, If it wasn’t for my overly geeky hubby for walking me through everything that day, it simply wouldn’t have been possible to post content for my subscribers. Outside of technical difficulties, the hardest obstacle I face quite a bit now as a YouTuber is procrastination. I have my share of struggling with this particular issue from time to time. I don’t want to mess up the opportunity and platform I now have to help others be ruined based on my inconsistency. In the Youtube world, they’ll chew you up and spit you out. It’s like the “out of sight out of mind” syndrome. Unfortunately, this is just how some viewers will portray you, so I’m trying my hardest with remaining consistent in uploading videos whenever I can. I want my Godly light to draw others, so I’m using that as my driving force to continue putting out great content for my viewers.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with UNSEEN – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
My husband and I started our multi-media company, UNSEEN Productions, which is still in progress preparing to launch in the near future. It is primarily operating as a record label on the forefront expanding into film and other exciting things to come. I actually use some of the songs from our upcoming label on my intro of my YouTube channel called “Thorns” by my husband, Hendrix. Within our label company, my husband is the mastermind solely behind the company. He is truly a jack of all trades. Not only does he help run the company, but he also creates unique beats, engineers, directs, raps, sings, film videos and does photography. The main thing that sets our company apart is we’re affordable, give great quality product to our artists as well as give same day service. Where do you know you can go and get a whole song recorded and mixed all within an hour? Our company is basically a one-stop-shop! I love how I can use our very own company to help add character to my channel. Because of UNSEEN, I receive dope music that can be showcased on my channel and give my channel a unique sound, look, and flair overall.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
There is no denying that one of the best features of living in the dirty South of ATL is our food. I’m a Georgia peach, so food is what is most dear to my heart. In Atlanta, you are able to experience the healthiest down to the unhealthiest of foods if you choose to. There is so much culture that is offered here as well. The least thing I am beginning to really hate is the number of people that are migrating here. Traffic is horrifying and this deadly heat makes it no better when being stuck in the car. Overall, I absolutely love my city!
