Meet Demetris and Demica of The Organizing Twins in Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Demetris and Demica.

Demica and Demetris, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, we were always very organized. Although, we didn’t have much to organize, we still ensured we kept the things we did have organized and clutter-free. This was us throughout our childhood. As we got more into adulthood, we realized we still have those same traits. We both have full-time jobs that require us to be organized as well. Demetris is an active-duty military and Demica is a Medical Supervisor.

We officially started The Organizing Twins in December 2018, when we finally told ourselves we were tired of putting our business ideas off… we needed to just go for it. We knew we wanted to start a business, but it took us some time to figure out what we wanted to do. We knew we were natural organizers (Virgo’s are big organizers), but we also like event planning. After some thought, we decided to start out by organizing people’s homes because we feel like if your home isn’t organized, it disturbs your everyday life by triggering chaos and clutter.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We don’t think any start-up business is smooth. We still have full-time jobs, but our plan is to eventually make The Organizing Twins our full-time job. The hardest part for us has been juggling our full-time jobs and children. But our biggest struggle has been marketing/promoting our business.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Organizing Twins story. Tell us more about the business.
The Organizing Twins are Professional Organizers! Our services include organizing any area of homes and offices to give our client’s a more balanced clutter-free life. Whether that is a closet, garage, playroom, office, pantry, basement, etc. We de-clutter these areas by getting rid of “unnecessary items” that have no value to a person’s life anymore.

We help clients decide on whether to keep things, trash things, or donate their things. We are most proud of being able to establish and own The Organizing Twins as sisters and be able to set an example to our children and show family members that it’s okay to be family business owners. Being able to share success as a family is amazing.

We are able to provide our clients with affordable prices. The Organizing Twins will also begin performing Professional Organizing workshops and corporate speaking events within the next few months.

We are hoping for good luck! We keep a positive attitude with our business goals and we are constantly learning each and every day. We are grateful to be able to share our talents with others and we know our hard work will pay off in the end.
