Demisha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started my senior year of high school! I was on half days and one of the classes I took required the students to learn how to write a resume. Once I learned how to write a resume I realized that it was something that I was good at. I then started writing resumes for family and friends. Eventually, after doing research I found that professional resume writing was a thing. I started off charging TEN dollars. Fast forward to now, nine years later… I am a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL RESUME WRITER! I am an expert in this field. I have now written thousands of resumes for clients in 30 plus different states and four countries. I absolutely love what I do!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been nowhere close to smooth for me! I first attempted to start my business in 2015. At that time I called it Write Source and Resources. My launch was a complete fail. I was working full time, going to school full time… I simply was overwhelmed.
2018 is when I really put my head in the game and got serious.
2019 my business took off, big time. The orders were rolling in NONSTOP. I cancelled vacations, barely slept, ate when I could..it was very overwhelming.
I then realized it was time for another price increase. It was literally supply and demand-the price had to go UP. Increasing my prices allowed me to work less.

Working in this field for nine years, my expertise cuts across a broad range of industries, giving me a wealth of knowledge. My creativity coupled with my passion for helping people succeed has kept me productive over the years. I am passionate about creating a cohesive resume that establishes job seekers backgrounds in a professional manner.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have started with higher rates! Resume writing is an art and requires a certain skill set. For example, my resumes now start at $350. I had one client who invested in my services and got an $24k salary increase. That’s a huge return!
