Today we’d like to introduce you to Denice Rivera.
Hi Denice, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My life has been a series of arrivals and departures. New cities, new chapters, new versions of myself rising from old ones. Growing up in a military and nomadic family meant I learned early how to live with change, how to adapt, and how to carry home within myself.
I grew up imagining a perfectly mapped-out future from the time I was 15 years old. Instead, life handed me a series of twists, losses, unexpected turns, and beautiful beginnings disguised as endings. I’ve experienced love, heartbreak, motherhood, reinvention, and the quiet courage it takes to rebuild your life from the inside out.
Through it all, one truth kept revealing itself:
I am not afraid of the fire. I rise from it.
Producing opened doors to stories that deserved a voice. Acting gave me a safe space to be vulnerable, tapping into my core truths and allowing me to show up more authentically. And now I stand in a season that feels like both a return and a rebirth. A moment where everything I’ve lived is becoming fuel for what I’m creating next.
I’m committed to work that reflects the woman I am today — grounded, intuitive, bold, and driven by a desire to help others trust their own rebirths. Whether through storytelling, creativity, or simply sharing my journey, I want people to know that starting over isn’t a setback. It’s truly a superpower.
Where I am today isn’t the result of a straight line. It’s the result of choosing myself, honoring my healing, and giving myself permission to evolve again and again.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has included major relocations, big life transitions, personal loss, burnout, and seasons where I had to completely rebuild emotionally, professionally, and financially.
I’ve had to navigate moments of uncertainty, question my direction, and learn how to start over more than once. Becoming a mother while still trying to discover my own voice. Leaving environments that no longer aligned with my growth. Learning how to trust myself again after major setbacks. Healing from experiences that forced me to redefine my sense of self and meet my own truth head-on.
But I’ve also learned this:
every challenge, every pivot, every setback carried a lesson that reshaped me.
What felt like detours became defining moments.
What looked like endings created space for reinvention.
What once nearly broke me ended up strengthening the foundation I stand on now.
What I’ve learned is that challenges don’t stop your path, they refine it.
Every difficult chapter taught me resilience, clarity, emotional intelligence, and an unwavering trust in my own intuition. Those skills shape everything I do today.
The road has been bumpy, but it’s made me stronger, more grounded, and more intentional in the work I choose and the life I’m creating.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actor, producer, and storyteller, but at the heart of it, I’m someone who is endlessly fascinated by the human experience — the moments that shape us, break us, rebuild us, and ultimately reveal who we really are.
In my work, I focus on truth. Emotional truth. Spiritual truth. The kind of truth that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt. I’m drawn to characters and stories that live in the spaces between strength and vulnerability — women who are evolving, healing, rising, or learning to trust themselves again.
Producing gives me another way to champion stories that deserve to be told. I’m intentional about the projects I align with. Representation, humanity, and authenticity matter deeply to me, and I love being part of giving nuanced, soul-centered narratives a voice.
What sets me apart is my lived experience. I’ve moved more times than I can count, rebuilt chapters of my life, navigated loss, doubt, reinvention, and the determination that comes with choosing yourself. Those layers made me a better artist more grounded, more intuitive, more emotionally attuned.
I’m most proud of the woman I’ve become because she shows up in my work.
She listens deeply.
She feels fully.
She leads with truth.
And everything I create, whether I’m in front of the camera or behind it, reflects that.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness for me isn’t loud, although at times it can be. Mostly it’s quiet, steady, and deeply felt.
It’s the kind of happiness that shows up in the small, intentional moments: a quiet, peaceful morning, sunlight on my skin, the sound of the ocean, a good conversation over a cup of coffee, or the feeling of alignment when I’m spending time doing what I love.
I’m happiest when my spirit feels free and spacious — when I’m creating, when I’m exploring somewhere new, or when I’m simply present with the people I love. Joy has become less about achievement and more about inner freedom… knowing I’m living in a way that honors who I’m becoming.
And honestly, happiness for me is also tied to growth.
Every time I listen to my intuition, trust my path, or rise from something that once felt impossible, I feel a surge of joy and strength. The kind that reminds me I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
It’s the simple things, the soulful things, and the moments that call me back to myself.
