Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin “DEE” Rooks.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Devin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After relocating to Atlanta, I identified a market need for a luxe mobile barber/beauty supply that would bring impeccable customer service, quality products, and expeditious delivery. This began the evolution of Hello Darling. The name Hello Darling was chosen, in memorandum of my late mother, who always answered the phone saying, “Hello Darling.” I chose the color purple for my truck to further commemorate my mother’s memory as a pancreatic cancer warrior. My mother’s love, wisdom and amazing support helped me become the thriving entrepreneur I am today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Launching Hello Darling has definitely not been an easy road and there have definitely been some struggles along the way. Being a first-time entrepreneur, the first year was very difficult. I launched my business in a city where I knew few people and my clients were from an industry that I knew little about. Since these were major hurdles to overcome, I was determined to learn as much as possible about the beauty and barber industry, build relationships with my potential clients, and do what was necessary to establish Hello Darling as the premier luxe mobile barber and beauty supplier in the area.

Hello Darling Luxe Supply – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Hello Darling is a luxury mobile barber/beauty supplier. We supply everything barber/beauty from blades and combs to chairs. We pride ourselves on providing impeccable customer service, quality products, and expeditious delivery.

As a company, we are most proud of our grind/grit to follow our dreams. We are so excited at the number of clients we have serviced who are now our Hello Darling family.

Hello  Darling is definitely set apart by our visual brand, but more so we are set apart by our commitment to excellent customer service –  known as the dependable and consistent brand with a drive and ambition that is contagious.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success as the ability to reach my end goal/desire. The criteria I use can be summed up in three questions: 1. Am I doing my best, if yes, push forward and strive to make my best even better. 2. Am I helping someone else achieve their success, if yes, strive to help one more person 3. Is the work I am doing now leaving a legacy for those who will come after me, if yes, then I have reached the ultimate level of success.
