Today we’d like to introduce you to Dexter Richardson.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Sports were my way of growing up in life. When I was 18, I started throwing parties around the area. I made a few thousand dollars and in college, I got into management. My first artist was a guy from Houston TX. We made a few moves but nothing serious. I moved to Florida and got my networks in the music industry. I manage Kate Bollinger, Ryda, Stevo the rapper and Young E.Z. All which will be headliners at festivals within the next two years.
Please tell us about your art.
I am the CEO of Rich Era Music and 252 Management. Rich Era Music is my record label focused around hip-hop while 252 management is fully an entertainment management company. 252 will have all types of an artist while R.E.M will sign hip-hop & r&b artist.
Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
Always stay consistent. Be able to provide value to anyone you want to work with. Even if it’s for free, you have to want people to work with you. Your services will have to be in order before you want to get a big-time artist or executives to work with you.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
