Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamond Smith.
Diamond, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a Georgia Tech grad, I jump-started my career in good-ole Corporate America working in and on a variety of technical settings. Despite that, my passion for pets and creative never wanted so in 2016 Mint Creative Co was incorporated as a platform to provide creative services to pet and pet-friendly owners, businesses and non-profit organizations.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course not, but we never expected it to be but that’s what makes the journey so rewarding and addictive. The ‘struggles’, as many call them, are just opportunities for growth and advancement so while we’ve run into trying circumstances, we are not afraid to evolve and keep an open mind to innovation. For example, we’ve pivoted several times on our service offerings – do we want to be capable in a variety of skills or master of fewer.

In short, Mint Creative Co provides creative services and photography supporting pet (& pet-friendly) owners, brands, influencers & nonprofits! We strive to bring brands and pets together while advocating pet-friendly everything! We specialize in photography and have developed quite a portfolio of loyal partners and portraits.
Quite frankly, there are very few, if any, organizations trying to do what we are! We’re intentionally instigating the convergence of business and pets by using our creative capabilities so long term, our goal is to leave a permanent footprint in the progress and continuous development of pet-friendly culture in our society.
What were you like growing up?
I was a crazy kid – I swung from the chandeliers with a level of energy that can’t be put in a bottle! I grew up with pets, playing instruments, studying martial arts, playing multiple sports (and at a high-level) and keeping my hands dirty in some type of creative setting. My family knew I would either take over the world or burn myself out trying and I can’t say I disagree.
