Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Chumley.
Diana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m an International Business administrator From Medellín- Colombia, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia 18 years ago, with a lot of dreams, and also with many fears. I was facing a new culture, language, lifestyle but I was convinced and sure of what I was looking for in my professional life.
The transition was not easy but was an amazing process because I grow as a person, and as a professional.
In this process, I found that be an entrepreneur it’s not easy… but not impossible!!
The most relevant and difficult was how to get information, to integrate yourself in the community, how to do your own business, people were not friendly about this subjects but I start learning, investigating and finally I create Escomex, a consulting firm in Foreign Trade, export, import, regulations, etc.
After this, I decided to create Círculo Empresarial, a network to educate, connect and promote your skills and business. We provide all the tools for new entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs that already have a business and want to be better and growth
Círculo empresarial (Business circle in English) have a space every Tuesday “Tertulia Empresarial” it’s open to everyone to learn about an organizational topic, connect to other entrepreneurs, and promote their business.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, it has not been easy, but the road has been built step by step, that is what makes it more satisfying; because you discover the human being that you are; the skills and capacities that you have to achieve everything you wish and want for you and your family.

Círculo empresarial Atl (Business Circle ATL) is a program whose mission is to promote, educate and contribute in the growth of the community by promoting education, seeking to develop a deep and meaning learning as well as applied skills to learn to be a better person, to live in the community, etc.
Our goal is to reach the Hispanic community no just in Georgia, nationwide. I want to inspire them and help the community to achieve their own goals.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love 💗 The eating – out options, you never get bored of what you eat and always have a chance to try something new, cities are diverse in general, including the food, people, things to do you name it! You can have conversations with everyone and learn something new. Also, the theater, the museums, galleries and everything in between, cities are plain fun.
I do like least the traffic… it’s a little heavy but it’s something that I can manage…
