Today we’d like to introduce you to Dianna Correa.
Hi Dianna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Im an ER vet tech. Saya (a micropit)was brought in to be euthanized for having a rectal prolapse when she was 5 months old. They were talked into surrendering her instead. After Sx I said i would take her. It was a long, hard road with her IBD and incontinence issues.
Shes on a hydrolyzed diet now and doing well. She also a fashion runway model and micro Influencer. She has been on TV and in magazines.
Saya’s life was almost cut short and I want her to be able to experience everything. She loves roadtrips, fascinated by pigeons and enjoys chasing squirrels and leaves.
She really is a loveable pup
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Her health issues were a struggle.
I spent months crying because how uncomfortable and the pain she was in. I thought i wasnt a good enough Mom for her, that I couldn’t give her what she needed.
They had to remove a big piece of her colon during Sx. She was constantly leaking, getting diaper rash, afraid to go potty.
Now that shes older, she started developing skin issues. She sees a dermatologist and we are working through it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an ER vet tech at an animal hospital
We work together saving lives of the pets brought in
I treat them as if they were my own
Most come in very sick and dying. They are scared. I like to be able to show them love and comfort while they are there and am sad and yet so happy when they pull through and are able to go home
How do you think about happiness?
Being with my dog makes me happy. When she is happy and enjoying herself, that makes me happy.
Thats the way Ihave always been. My pets have given me happiness
