Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominic Wimbley.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dominic. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey as a creator now photographer started well before I realized. Whether as a child traveling with family or my time overseas in the Marine Corps, I always carried around a camera, snapping away only to realize years later the impact a single photograph has to our story. Now I strive to tell that same story, whether it’s of creative architectural structures, people, or things. CapturedVisionz is not just about creative perspectives or someone who is naturally inclined or passionate about art. It’s a reason to encourage others to turn to a photograph to remind them of their own story and inspire others to create and share new ones.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing is ever a smooth road. Like any entrepreneur, I’ve had and still have my bumps in the road. Whether it’s the inner personal stress of worrying about what others feel about the content I create or feeling, I’m not as good as the other creators. I try living by these three things Keep Creating, Keep Seeking Knowledge, and Always Inspire. With these, I have been able to overcome many obstacles to continue to grow my brand and my business.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the CapturedVisionz story.
CapturedVisionz is more than just creating visual content in which is mostly seen as Architectural, Fashion, Street, and Portraiture photography but as something more. I’m most proud of my progression, not just in the content I create, but as the person photography has helped me become. Becoming more aware, humble, and appreciative of everyone and everything around me in which, most importantly, has brought me PEACE. I hope to inspire and share that peace and awareness with others.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see CapturedVisionz inspiring a community that is continually growing in Atlanta and contributing back to that community by hosting massive projects and opportunities for creators alike. Eventually, I would like to expand throughout the states with my vision and collaborative projects.
