Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Williams.
Donna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Prior to being known as Donna Williams a published author, founder & Executive Director of S2S Facts, Inc., or the CEO of D. Williams Consulting, LLC, I was Infamous for being the person coaching others to fulfill their purpose, dreams, and goals. Notorious for creating proposals, resumes, and conducting group presentations/training to enhance careers, organizations, and businesses for others. I’ve always enjoyed helping others especially those in need of a second chance, those who society have written off; I call them the underdog! Why some may ask; the answer is simple. As a 16yr. old teenage mom, I know how it feels to be an underdog. Therefore, my mission is to uplift others, share my expertise and talent to assist them in elevating to the success they desire and deserve. Hence, the reason my tagline to D. Williams Consulting LLC is “Re-positioning Futures”. A few years ago my tax accountant, Titan Tax Services, said to me, Donna you need to launch a consulting business you’re already doing the work; so I did, first launching my business as I.T. Consulting LLC in 2014, over the years I felt a need to re-brand. Early 2019 D. Williams Consulting, LLC “Re-positioning Futures” was revealed. Whereas having a successful consulting company was in scope for my idea of a career ladder, I never dreamed of becoming a published author or founding a nonprofit organization. In my book of anthology, There’s A Jewel in You, Volume 3, I make a statement “I had to go through the path of grit, grime, gangster, grunt, and gruel; It was God’s plan for the journey of finding me” I was in the midst of a storm, not the weather, when I received a message from an old friend. Turns out, she thought of me to be apart of a book of anthology related to teenage motherhood trails to triumphs, used to empower, uplift, and motivate teens, women, and young moms. Once the book was released, I began to launch a strategic plan of promotion. Well, my God has a sense of humor and will guide us to his plan for us, though it’s up to us to hear the call. I was excited to promote my book; one day, I was making preparations, contacts, etc. to conduct a book launch. The next thing I know, I was writing and launching a nonprofit organization!
Without a doubt, God’s plan. My excitement to promote my book led to me launching a nonprofit organization. S2S Facts, Inc. is a 5013c non-profit designed to unite girls & women through bridging gaps of diversity, inspiring friendships, encouraging social responsibility to the community and creating an atmosphere of empowerment. Our mission is “Building Tomorrow’s Future Today”.
Has it been a smooth road?
As anyone can imagine and those who have purchased my book, There’s A Jewel In You, Volume 3 {https://mailchi.mp/c211a778eb3c/dwtajiyv3} have read, my journey has not been smooth and at times challenges still arise. Although there are many, the main challenges were understanding my purpose, overcoming the fear of failure, and finding funding sources. I have over 15 years of inspirational speaking, strategic business development, and leadership experience. My work ethic is outstanding, yet I wasn’t quite sure if I was fulfilling my destiny. As I said earlier, I’ve had a few storms in my life; in an effort to find peace of mind, I began to meditate, pray for peace and provided myself with words of inspiration. Doing so gave me clear concise direction without the fear factor to mobilize. I gain line of sight of how important D. Williams Consulting LLC is in helping others through utilizing my expertise. Clients who have a niche yet don’t know how to gain those high-level contracts or can’t get to a potential customer due to lack of business skill set development of a strategic plan, or my clients that need assistance through coaching in self-development. Through understanding how my work aligns to re-position the future of others, ignited my zest for success mine and others. Those in the non-profit business understands that funding is a huge obstacle, S2S Facts, Inc. is no different. Currently, I’m funding the organization because the quest is extremely meaningful. However, that’s not a sustainable solution. It’s more challenging because we are a new organization. In an effort to offset some of the organization’s expenses, we are hosting a fundraising event. Most grants aren’t available for new nonprofit organizations, the grants are looking for measurement data, and longevity of the organization, hence the reason funding remains to be one of the biggest challenges. Nevertheless, S2S Facts, Inc. will remain steadfast and mobile, our five-year strategic goal is to expand into five counties in Georgia and at least one other state (Florida, SC, or NC). S2S Facts, Inc. “Sistahs to Sisters Unite” is a catalyst for transformation of mindset. Our mission is to build tomorrow’s future today.

S2S Facts, Inc. (http://s2sfactsinc.com), the 5013c nonprofit organization I founded with the objective to unite girls and women of all races, income levels, backgrounds through bridging the gap of diversity, inspiring friendship, embracing empowerment, and understanding social responsibility to community. We conduct bi-monthly interactive babble board sessions where we dialogue in age-appropriate breakout groups referred to as rap sessions. Then we link back together in what’s called our gap group, where we hear each other’s perspective in a No Judgement, Safe Zone atmosphere. Topics are related to the four core thrust of the organization, friendship, diversity, empowerment, and community engagement. Months that our coalition of ladies are not having a babble board session, we go out into the community as a group to conduct community service projects.
I am most proud to see and hear the young girls and women have open, honest conversations around what’s impacting their lives, from 55-year-old women sharing their current situation dealing with adult mean girls, to our teen advisory board giving hugs and encouraging 10 year old’ who’s shared their reality of wanting to commit suicide. S2S Facts, Inc. is a catalyst for transformation of mindsets, our tactics of engagement set us apart from other organizations.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe this city is a great place to begin any business, however, I believe we need more opportunities to highlight small businesses. Additionally, we should have more opportunities to bid for government contracts/business. Many small consulting firms can do just as good or better than big-box consulting agencies and many times more economical.
