Meet Dovid Weinreich of DW FIT Personal Training in Roswell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dovid Weinreich.

Dovid, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My entire life has always revolved around being active, playing sports and competing. I took a gap year after high school- went to Israel where staying active and working out was something that helped me feel good and kept me grounded while I was in a new place. I really gravitated towards weight lifting while I was over there and I continued to gain interest once I came back to America. When I started college instead of homework, I was watching videos on YouTube and reading books and magazines on working out and nutrition. I became a Certified Fitness Trainer- I literally turned my passion into work and started grinding away working with anyone and everyone. I was a young kid in 2012, but I’ve never been afraid to work and that’s what I did. I’ve learned so much over the last eight years. Each year, I’m more knowledgeable and capable than I was previously. I became obsessed with wanting to help people challenge themselves and get better. It’s been the driving factor in doing this work for eight years. My passion is to get people back to being active and living the highest quality of life physically that they can. I’ve worked for gyms but nearly four years ago, I broke away and started DW FIT Personal Training. I knew what message I wanted to convey to people. Starting DW FIT, my name, allowed me to make sure clients knew my intentions to help them, however, I can be genuine.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s definitely not been a smooth road. Like I mentioned, I was young. Which means there were times that I was dumb. I certainly didn’t know as much as I believed about business or dealing with people (clients or co-workers). I was after mine, simple as that. It doesn’t matter how much I know about fitness and working out if I can’t be engaging or articulate. These were things that hit me dead in the face the first four years of training and working with people. FOUR YEARS for me to work on skill development until I was confident in going out on my own and working with people. I wouldn’t trade those first four years though- It made me slow down and realize I had a lot more mountain to climb than I had initially thought. I’m a go-getter so that wasn’t easy for me to handle right away but I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned. I can run my business with integrity and a willingness to be better every day because of those humbling four years.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with DW FIT Personal Training – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
DW FIT Personal Training is private fitness training that takes your health and safety seriously. My main objective is to get people active and back to doing the things they love. That’s my specialty-getting people to show up, be active towards bettering themselves and making fitness not feel like a chore. I’ve worked with all types of clients which has really helped my experience. I’m comfortable working with all levels of fitness and helping you progress. I’m most proud of my community. I love that my clients know one another and enjoy their interactions together. I think what sets me apart from most trainers is my work ethic and transparency. It’s very black and white for me and my clients know this. If you show up, we can work on whatever it is you need help with. If you don’t show up, we can’t get results. DW FIT is results-driven and when you sign on with me, my goal is to help you achieve yours. This isn’t about me or the DW FIT name. It’s about the client, 1000% customer satisfaction.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love our parks, trails, and lakes. I grew up inside the perimeter and we were always heading out to different lakes and parks exploring. Frisbee, football, soccer, hiking, kayaking, anything. It was so easy to be outside growing up which was a true gift. I couldn’t imagine not being outside all the time with friends. There’s not too much I dislike about the cities I’ve lived in. Maybe that the support for small business could be a little greater but I think that’s changing. Outlets like this magazine are a great way to feature some of the fantastic young go-getters this city has.
