Meet Dr. Allison Jancik of All Is On Chiropractic in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Allison Jancik.

Dr. Jancik, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Deciding on chiropractic as a profession was quite simple. Having been under care since I was 12, it was the only profession I could see myself doing. I decided I wanted to empower families to take control of their health. After completing my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology – Human Performance, I came to Atlanta to attend Life University in Marietta. After four blazingly fast years, I received my Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic (DC). I opened All Is On Chiropractic in September 2018 in Marietta and made the Atlanta area my permanent home.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of the best pieces of advice I received when starting my practice was to approach every situation with a server’s heart. I do my best to keep that in mind at all times. For many people, health is something they do not want to talk about or believe it comes from a magic pill. I offer a way to think about health that makes sense to people; is easily understood and is based upon how the body functions.

Getting this message to the Atlanta community is a challenge. Practicing in Atlanta, there are four chiropractors at every corner, or so it seems, which brings the challenge of setting yourself apart from the crowd. Developing relationships within the community and networking has been essential for my practice. People want to work with people they know, like and trust. If I can give advice to other entrepreneurs, it is to get out there and network in the same circles consistently. When you support other small businesses, they will support you. Two major organizations that I have been active with are the Marietta Business Association and Master Networks.

All Is On Chiropractic – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The mission for All Is On Chiropractic is to provide the best care to our practice members. Our office is a place people say feels like home. Being a membership-based office; our clients are with us for the long-term to continue to maintain their health during their life’s challenges. Most people who walk through the door are looking to make a change in their life, whether it is feeling more productive and comfortable while they work, better performance at the gym, or being able to keep up with playing with kids, or maybe they are a kid!

No two chiropractors are alike, each having their own specialty. Mine is looking at the body as a whole unit, with every adjustment I provide; I include checks for the arms, legs, and jaw. This is a specialty many would benefit from, whether they are a student-athlete, professional who drives or works at a desk all day, or someone who exercises regularly. With this focus I incorporate my Kinesiology – Human Performance background. A great example is a patient of mine who is just over 50, came in with pain in many joints and a limp that developed. Throughout her care we adjusted her spine, as well as her arms and legs. It turns out the pain in the knees was from improper motion in her hips joints and instability in her ankles. After three months of care, she no longer had a limp and said she felt younger and had more vitality. She began exercising and running again and now we work on her posture and form to maintain her results.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up in Minnesota gave me the appreciation of all four seasons, including the winter activities of cross-country skiing and sledding in the snow. I guess you could say I am a permanent snowbird living in Georgia. Attending dance classes since I was four years old, taught me discipline, creativity, and to feel comfortable putting myself out there. This has been beneficial being an entrepreneur, as I am comfortable speaking at networking, meetings, conferences, and seminars to spread the word about true health.

Something you may not realize just by looking at me with my German/Irish heritage, is I have a deep passion for the Latin American culture, which started in high school when I joined the Latin Dance Club and took advanced classes in Spanish. This carried on throughout my life with a total of 13 years of study in the language, of which I am fluent in, as well as, a love for the music, dance, food, and people. It was also ironic coming to Life University in Georgia where it turns out there is a large population of Puerto Ricans who made me feel like family.

Overall my childhood and early adulthood prepared me to be confident in my abilities, find excitement in helping others succeed, discipline to work hard towards my goals, and enjoy the fun along the way. All of these have made becoming a chiropractor the best thing I could be doing with my life.
