Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Janice Grier.
Dr. Grier, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started the Fellowship Church of Praise, Atlanta in January 2007 in my Living room with 9 people. I was then Pastor Janice Grier. In over three months the ministry moved into the conference room at the Howard Johnson Hotel. Later in the same year, we were able to move into our first building on fellowship road in tucker Ga. We stayed there teaching, training and equipping people to combat the enemy with the knowledge of God.
In 2009 we moved to 4018 Lawrenceville Hwy in Tucker Ga. The Ministry was renamed Greater New and Living Way international deliverance Ministries. 2010 I was affirmed as Apostle Janice D. Grier. In 2019 Apostle Janice Grier received her Doctoral degree in Theology. My greatest desire is to impact lives towards a new and living way!!
Through God, given the vision of Apostle Dr. Janice D. Grier, The Greater New and Living Way international Deliverance Ministries Church family has accomplished many things.
*2008 Reach Beyond The Break Outreach Ministry which assists in clothes, food, housing, utility and recovery assistance.
*We now have The Greater New and Living Way Fellowship Connection of Churches. This is the organization of pastors and churches in several states and countries.
*The School of the Great Commission Bible College Tucker location where Dr. Grier is the Campus Dean.
*J grier Child development Center which helps with afterschool and summer camp.
*This year we have the J Grier Community Development Center which is a outreach for food, clothing, rental assistance. It is a center for the training of leaders and mentors. It is also a workforce center that helps with resume and job training. The youth of Opportunities program where youth can have the opportunity to enhance their mental thinking to re-route their current direction.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. The challenges have been great but with God’s help, I succeeded beyond the expectations of so many others. The journey has not been easy but again with God’s help and great people who saw the vision of impacting lives towards a new and living way, I continued to push through adversities to be able to understand people from all walks of life. I am a true witness that God will never leave you nor forsake you. It has been a challenge but with God’s help, I have made it this far. The benefits of serving God has been amazing.
Please tell us about the orgnization.
We are a ministry that Loves God. We specialize in soul winning and training of disciples for Christ. We also specialize in reaching people where they are to let them know they don’t have to accept their present condition. There is a New and Living Way that awaits them when they accept Christ. We are different from others because we walk people through deliverance. We don’t just tell you about God, We show you how he works through us. We are a transparent ministry that lets you know that to the upmost Jesus saves.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory was the love my mother and grandmother would show to so many people who were in need. If you needed food, clothes, or a kind word, they would be there ready and willing to help. They were true examples of servants. I learned so much about the true meaning of servitude from these powerful women of God.
