Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Jessica Clements.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dr. Jessica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a native of Lumber City, GA (born and raised). I identified early on the obstacles that faced double minorities, representing as an African American female. Coming from a modest, middle-class family structure, I watched my mother and father work hard to sustain the basic needs of a growing family.
I experienced first hand some of the challenges that faced my community at large. These challenges being represented in a lack of proficient educational programs due to low funding for rural schools and poverty which only the revelation of generational wealth could cure. With a vast imagination and the faith of a mustard seed, she determined to defeat every obstacle with the strong arm of education. Watching my parents struggle by working long hours to provide the basics, I was determined to find a better way by going farther than my ancestors. This was the inspiration behind the pursuit of academic achievement.
Unfortunately, academics did not cure the issue completely. I then grew a heart for felons as during this time in was faced with a 75-year prison sentence, divorce, and bankruptcy. In summary, these challenges were what birthed Heart And Hustle Academy, write a book and help as many women and men bounce back from life’s greatest trials.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This has not been a smooth road at all. As I stated on the last question, I was facing a 75-year prison sentence. Never in my life would I thought this could or even would happen to me. I was an abusive marriage and lost everything after that ordeal. It would seem my life was headed in a downward spiral.
Heart And Hustle Academy story – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Heart and Hustle Hustle Academy empowers people to be financially free. We specialize in teaching how-to on how to trade the financial markets. What really sets us apart is the attention to detail we give every student. When class is hosted, every person has direct access to me. By doing that, I’ve seen people who knew nothing about trading to quitting their jobs and replacing their income with the funademala taught in Heart And Hustle. Since inception, Heart and Hustle have had several students who are making a minimum of $500/day trading in the markets.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
It hasn’t played much of a role. To be honest, we are a product of our decisions and thoughts. Did I feel unlucky? Yes. But the mature perspective is what decision or choice did I make that brought this situation (good or bad) to fruition.
